Physical Limitations

  • The chest of the candidate should be expandable by 5 cm at least.

  • During the Physical Efficiency Test, candidates need to complete the following physical tasks successfully,
    • Run 1600 meters in 6 minutes
    • High jump (3 feet 9 inch)
    • Long jump (13 feet)
  • The candidate must have perfect vision without the aid of spectacles. They must not have color blindness.
Previous Experience Not Required

It should be noted that the DSSSB Jail Warder post is open only for male candidates. The female candidates have a separate position in prison as Matron. It should also be noted that the post is not suitable for PH (Physically Challenged) candidates, as per the guidelines of the DSSSB.
