POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released the notification for the engagement of apprentices for the year 2026-27. A total of 270 apprenticeship training slots are available across 10 regional establishments.

POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the recruitment must meet the educational and other eligibility requirements prescribed for their selected trade.
Applicants must have completed their qualifying examination within the specified two-year period, from 11 September 2024 to 10 September 2026. The qualification must be obtained through a full-time regular course from a recognized institution or university.
Part-time, distance, correspondence and online qualifications are not accepted for this recruitment.
Candidates who are waiting for their final examination results will not be eligible. Applicants must also not have previously completed or currently be undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization.

POWERGRID Apprentice Selection Process 2026
There will be no written examination or interview for the apprenticeship engagement.
The selection will primarily be based on merit and eligibility. Applications will first be screened according to the prescribed qualification and regional requirements. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for document verification.
Candidates may be called for document verification in a 1:5 ratio against the available training slots. After successful verification, the final merit list will be prepared.
Selected candidates will subsequently have to complete the apprenticeship contract formalities through the NATS/NAPS portal and submit the required medical and police verification documents.
