CSIR UGC NET December 2026 Notification: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 examination. The examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor and Ph.D. admission, as well as admission to Ph.D. programmes only in Indian universities and colleges.

Age Limit, Vacancy Details, and Qualification
For CSIR UGC NET December 2026, the upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 30 years as on 01.12.2026. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for Assistant Professor or Ph.D. admission only. Age relaxation will be provided according to the applicable rules.

CSIR UGC NET December 2026 Exam Scheme and Subjects
The CSIR UGC NET December 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The total examination duration is 180 minutes (3 hours).
The question paper will be available in Hindi and English and will be divided into three sections. Part A will cover general aptitude, while Parts B and C will focus on subject-specific questions, including higher-level analytical questions.
