Educational Qualification-

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates.

A. Higher qualification of B.Tech/B.E in Engineering with 65 % marks or more shall not be a bar for applying for the post of Diploma Trainee.
B. The following Disciplines of Diploma/Engineering shall be acceptable for posts mentioned below:-For the post of DT(Electrical):
Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical).

2.Diploma Trainee-Civil

Total No of Posts- 5 (UR-03,OBC-01,SC-01)

Educational Qualification-Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates.

Higher qualification of B.Tech/B.E in Engineering with 65 % marks or more shall not be a bar for applying for the post of Diploma Trainee.

3.Jr. Technician Trainee -Electrical

Total No of Posts- 25 (UR-013,OBC-06,SC-06)

Educational Qualification-ITI in Electrician Trade of Two Years duration from a recognized Institute.

Higher qualification of Diploma/B.Tech/B.E in Engineering shall not be a bar for applying for the post of Jr. Technician Trainee -Electrical

Age Limit- On 2/10/2018

27 years for General
30 years for OBC(NCL)
32 years for SC/ST

Application Fee-Rs 300 -UR/OBC For diploma trainee and Rs 200 -UR/OBC For Jr. Technician Trainee

SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

Selection Process-Written test only

Diploma Trainee-The Written Test/Computer Based Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four answer options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts –
(a) Part-I consists of Technical/Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
(b) Part-II consists of Aptitude Test with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.
All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.

Jr. Technician Trainee-Computer Based Test (100 % Weightage) & Trade Test (Qualifying only)

Qualifying criteria in Written Test –

Unreserved Vacancies-Minimum of 40% marks subject to at least 30% marks in each Part-I & Part-II separately.

Reserved Vacancies-Minimum of 30% marks subject to at least 25% marks in each Part-I & Part-II separately
