ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force invites online applicable from eligible male Indian citizens (including subjects of Nepal & Bhutan) online to fill up vacancies of Constable (Driver) Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) posts temporarily likely to be permanent in ITBPF. ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 for PET/PST

The ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 for consists of several stages designed to assess candidates’ suitability for the role. The process typically includes the following steps:

ITBP Constable Driver Physical Efficiency Test

All the candidates will undergo thorough identity verification and Biometric capture before appearing in the PET & PST exam. Biometric identification of candidates can also be verified at any recruitment stage. The ITBP Driver Exam Pattern 2023 for PET is shared below.

Note: No marks will be allotted for this test, and PET shall be qualifying in nature. Candidates must be declared qualified in each PET event; those who fail will be disqualified.

ITBP Constable Driver Physical Standard Test

Candidates declared successful in ITBP Driver PET will be shortlisted for Height, Chest, and Weight measurements. Those who fail to meet the required physical measurement will be disqualified from this stage. The ITBP Driver Physical Standard Test requirements are as follows.

Stage 1: Written Exam For ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023

The next stage of the ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 is the written exam. Candidates who are declared qualified in the physical standard test will be shortlisted for the written exam. The ITBP Driver Exam Pattern 2023 for the written exam will be as follows.

  • The written exam comprises objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • The ITBP Driver exam consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • The exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • The minimum qualifying cut-off percentage of General/Ex-Servicemen/EWS is 35%, and SC/ST/OBC shall be 33%.

Stage 2: Document Verification For ITBP Constable Driver 2023

Candidates declared qualified in the ITBP Constable written exam will be called to appear in the document verification round. Candidates must bring original documents, self-attested copies of certificates, and the application for verification. The following documents are required for verification:

  • Educational Certificate(s)
  • Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation or 10th Class Certificate)
  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License;
  • Professional / Experience Certificate, if any;
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable).
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen
  • Four latest passport-size photographs, etc.

Stage 3: Practical Skill Test ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 

The next stage of the ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 is the practical skill test. Candidates declared successful in Documentation will be shortlisted for the Practical (Skill) Test. This test will conducted for 50 marks, and qualifying marks, irrespective of categories, shall be 50%. However, the ITBP Driver Practical (Skill) Test will be qualifying in nature only.

Stage 4: Merit List ITBP Constable Driver

Candidates who will clear the ITBP Constable selection process in 2023 will be featured in the merit list. Upon completing the Practical (Skill) Test, the merit list in each category, i.e. UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Ex-servicemen, will be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the written examination. Based on their merit, the candidates will be shortlisted for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) according to the category-wise vacancies.

Stage 5: DME & RME For ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023

  1. The next stage of the ITBP Driver Selection Process 2023 is a Detailed Medical Examination. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the DME round to judge their fitness. The DME of the aspirants will be held in terms of Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination.
  2. Candidates declared unfit during a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be permitted to undergo a Review Medical Examination (RME), provided they submit their written permission by appending their signature on the intimation mentioning the reasons for being unfit.
  3. Candidates declared unfit in DME will be described the process for submitting an appeal for RME at the exam venue.
  4. The RME of aspirants will be held in continuation of DME, preferably on the following day of DME. The RME consent duly signed by the candidates must be submitted within 24 hours after he is communicated about his unfitness in DME.
