ICFRE TFRI Group C Recruitment 2025: The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education’s Tropical Forest Research Institute (ICFRE TFRI) has officially announced the commencement of its Group C Bharti for the year 2025. ICFRE TFRI opens opportunities for eligible Indian citizens to participate in the selection process for Technical Assistant, Forest Guard, and Driver positions.

The online application process began on 14 July 2025 and will remain open until 10 August 2025. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the MPOnline portal.

ICFRE TFRI Group C Bharti has a total of 14 positions. The breakup includes 10 vacancies for Technical Assistant (Category II – Field/Lab), 3 for Forest Guard, and 1 for Driver (Ordinary Grade). Each of these posts comes with specific educational and age requirements.

TFRI Group C Bharti Eligibility Criteria

For the Technical Assistant post, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Botany, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Statistics. The age limit for this post is 21 to 30 years as of 1 July 2025.

Candidates applying for the Forest Guard post must have passed the 12th standard with Science from a recognized board. Selected individuals will need to complete a recognized Forestry training program during their probation. Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old.

For the Driver (Ordinary Grade) post, the minimum qualification is matriculation. Candidates should hold a valid driving license for motor cars and have at least three years of driving experience. Those with knowledge of vehicle mechanisms will be given preference. The age criteria for this post is also 18 to 27 years.

All applications must be submitted online. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay both processing and examination fees, while Women, SC, ST, Divyangjan, and Ex-servicemen are exempt from the examination fee. The fee structure varies based on the post applied for, ranging from ₹850 to ₹1,050 inclusive of GST.

Selection Process for ICFRE TFRI Group C Recruitment 2025

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Written Examination, followed by a Skill or Physical Test depending on the post. The written test for all posts will include multiple-choice questions, and there will be a negative marking of one-third mark for each wrong answer. The Stage-I exam is tentatively scheduled for the first week of September 2025.

Candidates applying for the Forest Guard role must clear a Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards as per the guidelines. This includes walking long distances and meeting physical measurement standards. Similarly, Driver post applicants will need to qualify a practical driving test.

The written exam for Technical Assistant will be of 180 minutes and include 100 multiple-choice questions covering various general and subject-specific topics.

Salary Details for ICFRE TFRI Group C Recruitment 2025

All positions are governed under the 7th Central Pay Commission, and appointed candidates will receive pay along with admissible allowances as per government norms. Additionally, they will be enrolled in the National Pension System (NPS).
