A big takeaway from the revised budget is the announcement about creating over 1 lakh jobs in the current financial year.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to recruit 75,000 employees in 18 government departments, while creating 25,000 other jobs for rural youths under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Rozgar Yojana (MURY) by providing a loan up to Rs 1 lakh.
The highest number of vacancies is in the education department with 21,600 jobs followed by medical with 15,000 jobs. Energy, rural development and home also have a major share with 9,000, 5,160 and 4,000, respectively.
“Our government primary priority is to address the problem of unemployment in the state effectively. Our government will over 75,000 jobs in a year fulfilling our commitment,” said Gehlot.
